Since joining yourCFO in 2008, I have experienced both the highs and lows of the market’s recent history of turbulence.  This challenging environment taught me a valuable lesson – investors and advisors alike would be best served focusing on items which they can control such as focused diversification, a consistent approach to security selection and maximizing tax efficiency of portfolios.

Most of my clients are medical and dental professionals, business owners and individuals who appreciate the value and importance of consistent and tax efficient financial management.

I received my Chartered Accountant designation in 1997 and my CFP designation in 1999.  Before joining yourCFO, I spent 14 years with public practice accounting firms including Ernst and Young, KPMG and a highly respected local C.A. firm in Victoria, B.C.

Prior to my professional career, I spent time with the Canadian college national baseball team and spent a couple of seasons playing baseball south of the border.

In my spare time, I enjoy coaching my two boys, Caelan and Coban in basketball and baseball.
