Doug Leyland entered the securities industry in 1987, and is an active participant, having sat on various committees such as the OSC Fair Dealings Model and the IDA Incorporation of Salespersons. In February 2000, he established yourCFO Advisory Group, an independent, integrated wealth management platform catering to the needs of high net worth individuals, executives and business owners. yourCFO Advisory Group was the first IDA Member approved to operate under new IDA Agency rules introduced in 2003.  Under these rules, Agents of yourCFO may now operate their business as independent non-incorporated entities, with yourCFO supplying all head office regulatory services.  This is a unique way for Advisors to own their own book of clients and control the commercial aspects of their business, thereby operating their own business in a truly independent environment. 

In addition to being a Chartered Accountant, Doug also holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree.

Adam specializes in advising successful business owners and high net worth clients.  He assists by using an unique integrative team approach that first validates his client's ownership structure, then introduces tax minimization and estate maximization strategies and concludes with investment and risk management strategies designed to achieve his client's investment goals.  

Put alternatively, Adam and his team provide information and advice to clients so they are equipped to make better decisions about growing and protecting their wealth - the way they want to. 

Throughout this his team liaises closely with his client's accounting and legal professionals to ensure each is onside with the overall strategy.

Adam is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business where he received his Honours in Business Administration and his MBA.  Adam has several years experience in institutional equity research and investment banking.

Brian’s investment career has spanned almost 20 years and includes management, trading and sales positions at both bank-owned brokerages and regional investment dealers. Brian's extensive knowledge of industry standards and regulation is key to working with and coaching advisors and branch managers. The sharing of ideas is key to staying current in the fast-paced and ever-changing world of financial services.

Brian takes a ‘top down’ view to managing clients’ investments. Taking a long term, asset allocation approach primarily using exchange traded funds, Brian looks to mitigate risk and enhance yield through the conservative use of derivatives. Risk management tools are also used as part of a comprehensive financial planning process.

 

Ron Lynch

Ron Lynch began his career in the insurance industry in 1989.  Starting out in Maritime Life’s Head Office in Halifax, Ron transferred to the Regional Marketing Office in Mississauga in 1993, and has since made Ontario his permanent home.  Ron has extensive experience in insurance company administration of both annuity and life insurance products, as well as agent contracting and licensing.  In addition to administrative support, Ron has considerable experience in providing marketing and sales support in independent broker environments.  Ron has supported his broad range of industry experience by consistently maintaining his industry education through the Life Office Management Organization, (LOMA), a highly respected provider of education for insurance industry administrators.  Ron has achieved ‘Associate’ designations in the areas of Customer Service, Insurance Agency Administration, Insurance Regulatory Compliance, and the Financial Services Institute.

As well as holding the administrative designations, Ron is a Registered Health Underwriter, and has an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree, and a Bachelor of Education degree from St. Mary’s University in Halifax.
